So, several weeks ago, we went on a little family vacation to Birmingham. Well, actually, it was a working retreat for Scott, but Gus and I got to hang out and eat free food. (I think we calculated at one point that the whole thing cost us about $13...not bad for four days in a fancy hotel.) Gus spent most of his time honing his walking and climbing skills.
Here are a few highlights:
The hotel & pool. Not too shabby!
Gus wandering aimlessly through the conference area. He also had a blast weaving through the tables during dinner and otherwise entertaining Scott's co-workers.
"Whew....1 down, only 45 more to go....."
Room service.
We also had a fabulous time at the Birmingham Zoo, unfortunately the camera battery happened to be dead. We got to hear a lion roaring (so terrifying and wonderful at the same time), see giraffes up close and get practically nose to nose with a Siberian tiger. Thank goodness for extra thick glass. The tiger's face was at least as big as all of Gus!
