Flashback

The kids and I (Amy) went up to Annapolis for a visit over the 4th of July. We had SO much fun. We got to enjoy hard crabs for Mom's birthday, a day at the zoo, kayaking, sleeping on the porch in sleeping bags and lots of family time, which we don't get much of down here! Gus and Kip had a blast hanging with their cousins, Grace & Leah. Mom and Dad were even brave enough to have a cousin sleepover while the adults went to see the fireworks! I got home in time to sneak a peak at the attempts to get the 3 older ones all settled in their sleeping bags down in the basement:)

So here are some pictures of the trip.

Kayaking with the 3 oldest:

Gus hunkered down for the ride.

Grace preferred to supervise.

Aunt Heather and cousin Leah.

Uncle Steve

Grandma K stayed home with Kip, who refused to sleep while we were out:)

Checking out Mom and Dad's amazing "new" backyard:

Dad started all these native plants from seed!

Picking blueberries.

Tea at Grandma K's

During the week, Gus and Grace took turns swapping favorite past-times.
Gus ended up in heels, and Grace helped turn the dollhouse into a parking garage.

We had dinner at Jim and Laura's one evening. We had a wonderful time exploring their property, mingling with the chickens and hearing about their recent trip to Italy.

Thanks, everyone, for such a wonderful trip! We love Maryland:)
